Default coloradoracingmemories.com is no more

Bummer... I liked that site there was alot of cool stuff to read and lots of great pictures. I learned alot about local racing there and had some good memories. Does anyone know why it was taken off?

That was a great site. Did it close due to lack of support?

Sorry to hear that. It was a great site packed with a bunch of information. I'd also like to know why it's being shut down.

If the folks involved with that site read this thread, please e-mail me.

That was a great website. I was really bummed to see that they shut it down. First race I ever went to was over at Lakeside and I really enjoyed all the photos and history of all the Colorado tracks. I looked forward to Sunday when the new week's highlights were posted. Sorry to see it go.

that is too bad. I spend time on there atleast once a month. I think if there was a money issue we would have heard about it?

Here's the latest from his web site:

Quote:
NEWS FLASH!!!!

I have not given permission to anyone to take over Colorado Racing Memories (CRM).

I have not, and will not, given anyone permission to use CRM files, CRM image files, CRM repaired newspaper advertisements, CRM content, or CRM name elsewhere.

I have not, and will not, release the original images shared with me by any CRM Contributor.

I am aware that at least one person has a complete copy of CRM. Anyone who has posession of the CRM files does so without my permission.

The CRM image files are all marked. Use of any CRM image file on another web site will be grounds for action.

Thank You
Daniel Berner

Guy's here a reply that I got from Daniel

HI....thanks for your very kind words. Health problems, and can't afford to support it anymore. All the very best, Dan

What's up with the site and why did you close it? Its one of the very best if not the only site that I'm very fond of. You have more information pertaining to my great uncles (the Mauro's ) than any other living family member cares to know about.

According to that thread on BigWestRacing, the site admin over there is going to start another web site called "Auto Racing Memories", that won't be specifically for Colorado. But from what I can tell, it'll be round track stuff only.

So I guess the drag racing history/memories will be all but forgotten.
