Default Julesburg

Can any of you give me some information about Julesburg? My wife really wants to take our daughter up there to race her junior this weekend, but I have heard horror stories about getting flat tires. Is it true that I will need to bring extra slicks and tubes to make it through the whole weekend (2 days)? There is only one place to stay in town and it is likely already booked for the weekend and I will have to go to Nebraska for the night?

Thank you.

I used to race there a few years back, went over June 19th this year to do some testing. They have really cleaned the place up. I think the sticker problem is taken care of but the return road is terrible. I don't think you will have any problems with flats. You do get lots of runs in. Hope this helps.

It wouldn`t hurt to have spares. Those little "goat head/stickers" are readily available to let the air out of thin tires. As far as overnight lodging,I can`t help you there, hopefully someone on here can help with that part. If you do go,you`ll have fun. I`ve always liked going out there. Enjoy, and good luck!! Lane

The sticker issue has been taken care of, I didnt find any in my slicks after last weekend, but it never hurts to have a spare.
You can camp at the track, or I usually stay at the Platte Vallley Inn, but the super 8 or whatever it is just accross the border is much newer and nicer, and only about 15 miles away.
There have been some nice improvements there this year, like indoor bathrooms and a new sign up area, but the return road is still rough so you will want to be carefull there.
You wont find a nicer group of people to race with, hopefully I can make it out next weekend also, work has been nuts lately and I havent had much time to race.

Later
Mike
